Jungutbatu Beach
Beach · the main village and busiest stretch of sand, northwest coast.
Map
Beaches, viewpoints and the Yellow Bridge, placed against OpenStreetMap's own coordinates for the island.
This map covers fixed, verifiable locations: beaches, clifftop viewpoints, the bridge to Nusa Ceningan, three spots on Ceningan's south coast, the Shipwrecks, Lacerations and Playgrounds surf breaks and the Blue Corner dive site. It leaves out ATMs, fuel stalls and medical services, since those change hands, hours and locations too often for a static map pin to stay accurate; see the note at the bottom of this page for how to handle those instead. Every location below also appears as a plain-text entry, so the information doesn't depend on the map loading.
Beach · the main village and busiest stretch of sand, northwest coast.
Beach · quieter bay, a common day-trip boat landing point.
Beach · dramatic setting, strong rip currents. Wading, not swimming.
Beach · sea caves at low tide, with a beach club on site.
Beach · sheltered and calm, the island's easiest snorkeling entry.
Viewpoint · clifftop only, not a swimming spot. Stay well back from the edge.
Viewpoint · free hilltop view over Jungutbatu toward Bali's Mount Agung.
Landmark · the pedestrian and motorbike crossing to Nusa Ceningan.
Nature · approximate area only, in the north-east; tours cover a wide channel network, not one fixed spot.
Surf break · right-hand reef break off Jungutbatu for intermediate and advanced surfers.
Nusa Ceningan · narrow, cliff-framed inlet on the south side. A lookout, not a place to jump.
Nusa Ceningan · staffed cliff-jump platforms next to Blue Lagoon.
Nusa Ceningan · one of the few spots on Ceningan calm enough for an easy swim.
Beach · also called Song Lambung Beach, just south of Jungutbatu, with surf-rental shacks and local boats.
Surf break · the break closest to shore, usually paddled straight from Coconut Beach. Position from Yosurf, about 100 m precision.
Surf break · sharper reef break for advanced surfers only, hazardous at full low tide. Position from Yosurf, about 100 m precision.
Dive site · advanced drift dive off the north-west coast, near the mangrove. Position from PADI's dive-site page.
ATMs and small fuel kiosks exist on the island but are left off this map deliberately: individual machines and stalls open, close and move too often for a static pin to stay reliable. Jungutbatu has the largest concentration of shops, guesthouses and the ATMs that do exist; treat Mushroom Bay and the south coast as having fewer services. Bring enough Indonesian rupiah from Bali rather than counting on a working ATM once you arrive, and expect small roadside kiosks rather than staffed petrol stations for scooter fuel.
